Pick how each radiator feels. Ten minutes after the heating comes on is the best time to check: carefully, they can be hot.
Your message to Adam
Hi Adam, I've done the radiator check on your website. Could you come and have a look? Thanks
A guide to what to tell Adam, not a diagnosis. He'll look before recommending anything.
Cold at the top
Usually air. Bleeding often sorts it; if it keeps coming back, tell Adam.
Cold at the bottom
Often sludge. Adam checks valves and pump before suggesting a flush.
Cold all over
One cold radiator: often a valve. All of them: the pump, controls or boiler.
Smell gas? Don't use switches or naked flames. Call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 first: free, 24 hours. Then ring Adam about the repair.
Call 0800 111 999Boiler playing up? Ring Adam.
Say what's happening and where you are. Radiators cold in places? Check them first and the message writes itself.
